Ebay item 7/1/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Jaguar-XJS-Classic-Collection/292624656407
Car has a buy it now price of $6,500 for 6 days, seller benthedigikid, 65k miles.

Sellers description:
1991 Classic Collection 5.3L V12 Coupe Black paint is in 8/10 condition! Washes+shines up beautifully. Magnolia leather, all original interior.

Note: since these pictures were taken, the original headlights were swapped back onto it (the previous owner had the big single units but I bought new sealed-beam originals and put them back on).
Also, the XJR-6 wheels have been changed out with some that are more aerodynamic and have easier handling/steering tires on them (they are later Jaguar XJS 'Celebration- AeroSport' wheels that came only on the 1996 last year XJS models).

It runs strong! I've taken it for a couple of joy rides and to fill it up. Runs great as it is!

The good: new battery, new headlight bulbs (4 of them), new wiper blades, carpets have been gently cleaned.

This beautiful old Jag just needs a little tinkering and some worn parts replaced to make it perfect again.
It has already had a good bit of work done maintenance-wise with oil, filters, hoses and worn parts being replaced. It has new belts, spark plugs and wires and ignition cap+rotor and the left/right motor banks have been synchronized perfectly runs smooth as butter.

The bad: it needs the belt for the compressor, the compressor needs an expansion valve and to be recharged with R-12 freon to provide cold air, the cruise control bellow was removed due to being worn out and non-functional so it just needs a new'good condition one to replace it in order to have cruise-control again, and the driver seat cushion has lost it's ability to support. There is mild paint damage where the old door ding-guard trim was removed, but this could be professionally touched up or covered with new door guard trims. The only other issue is that the previous owner had the mufflers and catalytic converters removed so the car is a bit louder than you might expect. The 'cats' were removed to help reduce the amount of heat under the hood and increase engine performance (more HP) but new/used ones could be fitted if you live in a place where emissions are tested for in order to register the vehicle.

That all being said, this car would also be a great project car for an engine swap or conversion or a custom job! There are complete kits out there just for this car. I have yet to see an electric conversion of this car...you could be the first!?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
