This is one of those rare examples of a 1993 XJR-S Coupe, and is one of only possibly three pre-production V12 Powered XJR-S Silver Frost Coupes produced by Jaguar/TWR in model year 1993 for the US market. Presumed to be used as press cars (3 coupes, 1 convertible), the Silver Frost examples pre-date the 100 limited edition XJR-S of which there were approximately 25 red coupes, 25 black coupes, 25 red convertibles, and 25 black convertibles.

Jaguar sent a basic XJS to Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) for custom upgrades. The car’s unique TWR engine number, body number, and serial number are indicative of a true JagSport XJR-S. The engine is 6.0L instead of standard 5.3L, and the driveline, suspension, and brakes were engineered, built and installed by TWR, a major contributor to the Jaguar Racing development group. The Zytec ECU (ignition system) is also unique to this car and provides for stellar performance. Rounding out the XJR-S package, these cars also have special alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, under tray, lower side sills, a custom front end treatment, and special charcoal Autolux leather interior.

This car is in excellent condition, and shows only a little more than 75,000 actual miles. The car is very well sorted, and runs and drives like a dream. The engine seals have been replaced/updated, as well as the shocks (new original Bilstein’s installed) and new tires. The car is equipped with thermostatically operated climate control (air is cold!), Power 6 –Way adjustable seats, power sun roof (Jaguar dealer installed accessory), and an AM/FM cassette with 6 disc CD changer in the boot. All original books, keys and remote fobs remain with the car.

Greg Reed no longer owns this car. He also has his facts a little wrong. There were actually 4 silver frost TWR coupes produced, and 1 silver frost convertible. All silver frost TWR cars were sold in California Auto show in 1993 at which time Jaguar and TWR showed the USA their amazing XJ220.
One of the cars (the only one to stay in CA) received heavy modifications of transmission and axle modification, and was recently sold and moved to Poland. The 25 color coupe/convertible split is also off. The XJRS registry counts 101 cars produced in 1993 in total, and that 2 were developed as race cars and never imported to the USA, leaving 99 cars sold, of which 5 were silver frost. This then leaves 94 TWR cars that were black or red convertibles/coupes.

As you say there were infact 5 Silver Frost cars built
Collectively they are know as "Asprey" because of the Silver Plaque manufactured by Asprey Jewelers of London
185527 was the 4th Asprey Built but caries the Asprey # 002.
By the way it was me that spent many hours at Jaguar Heritage Browns Lane creating the XJR-S Asprey Data Base From which I see you own 185355 Asprey # 004.
