Ebay item 1/5/23
www.ebay.com/itm/144886473498
Opening bid $9,500 reserve not met 0 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller raymondcj, 109k miles.

Seller's description:
This is a remarkable example of a true classic Jaguar. Grace, Luxury and Elegance in a timeless design are all represented flawlessly in this vehicle.

4.0L Straight Six (AJ6) 243bph 4 speed automatic. Only 109k miles, an average 3758 miles per year. Finished in a stunning Diamond Blue Metallic over Magnolia hides with a matching Magnolia waistrail and Honey Burl Walnut trim. This is a true time-warp classic Jaguar finished in the most sought after exterior color. It is a real genuine survivor that looks, drives and feels as a Jaguar should.

General – This car has always been fastidiously cared for and comes with service history records and the original Jaguar hand book. The car drives and handles as expected for a Jaguar, and the AJ6 power plant offers exceptional speed.

External – The body shows little wear or flaws. The paint is excellent. There are no major dings or dents. Every panel shows well up close, with the exception of a small 2 inch by 4 inch area of lightened wear on the left inner hood fold. Chrome is excellent and all rubber looks as expected. The glass has no marks or cracks. There is no rust on the car.

Interior – The interior is trimmed in Magnolia hides. Both front seats were reupholstered in matching leather. The center armrest shows some wear, but replacement leather is included. Headliner is new. The carpets are in excellent shape. The Honey Burl Walnut is in very good condition. The center console (ski slope) and ashtray cover walnut is also in excellent condition. All options work as expected. The car is equipped with a Jaguar cassette/FM/AM/Weather radio, and includes another spare Jaguar radio. The air conditioning works perfectly and blows ice cold air.

Mechanical – This car is in excellent mechanical condition. There are currently no issues and no warning lights on the dash. The car drives and shifts as a luxury car should, and the ride is flawless. Included is a set of maintenance records from the previous owners as well as a clean Carfax report. The car has been meticulously maintained and has had recent work done, this includes a complete overhaul of the engine at 106k miles, updates and repairs to the cooling system, air conditioning system, wheel bearings, belts, and includes new tires. This was a southern car, arriving in MA in 2014 with no rust or rot.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
