The engine is an exceptional L6 - runs strong and smooth provides the power you have come to expect from a Jaguar. This 1995 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible is finished in Sapphire over Nimbus leather upholstery, and it is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, fog lights, a power-retractable blue soft top, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a factory cassette stereo, a six-disc CD changer, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Following registration history in several states, the car was purchased by the seller on BaT in May 2020. Subsequent work is said to have included changing the fluids and replacing the badging, brake pads, spark plugs, and coil packs. Showing 45k miles, this XJS convertible is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Sapphire and features a power-retractable blue soft top and a Jaguar-logo gray top boot. Exterior details include fog lights, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. The seller notes replacement badging installed under current ownership, and close-up view show blemishes in the finish.

Silver-finished 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 225/60 Michelin Defender tires that have 2013 production-date codes. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

The power-adjustable front seats and the rear bench are upholstered in Nimbus leather, and wood trim accents the cabin. Additional appointments include a factory cassette stereo connected to a trunk-mounted CD changer as well as driver-seat position memory, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a center console with cup holders. The car is equipped with front-seat heating, although it is inoperative on the driver’s side. A broken passenger seat-belt receiver is depicted in the gallery along with worn and damaged upholstery and trim.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,700-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.0-liter AJ16 inline-six was revised for 1995 and featured coil-on-plug ignition, magnesium-alloy valve covers, and revised engine management. Factory-rated output was 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. The oil was most recently changed in November 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
