Car on BAT
Current Bid: $10,000
Location: McKinney, Texas 75071
15k Miles Shown
Signal Red over Black Leather
Two Prior Owners
Accident-Free Carfax Report
Private Party or Dealer: Dealer
This 1990 Jaguar XJS was sold new in California and reportedly remained with the original owner through 2002. The selling dealer acquired it from the second owner’s estate in 2019. Power is provided by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with an automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Signal Red over a black leather interior with burl wood trim. Service within the past 1k miles is said to have included an oil and filter change and new tires. This XJS is now offered in McKinney, Texas with an accident-free Carfax report, prior registrations and lease-payment statements, and a clean California title.
The exterior is finished in Signal Red, and paint-meter readings of various points on the bodywork show thicknesses between 3.5 and 8.5 mils. The seller reports that VIN tags are intact on the exterior panels.
The car retains factory lighting and US-market bumpers with black impact pads. The 15″ basketweave alloy wheels were fitted with new Pirelli P600 tires within the past 1k miles, and the factory spare is stowed in the trunk under a black vinyl cover.
The cabin is upholstered in black leather contrasted by burl wood veneers on the dash, doors, and center console. The car retains a factory stereo system and is equipped with power-adjustable front seats and a trip computer.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and rotating auxiliary gauges mounted in the center of the cluster. Less than 15k miles are reportedly shown on the six-digit odometer, approximately 10 of which were added by the seller.
The 5.3-liter V12 was originally rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque in the US market, and it is paired with a GM-sourced automatic transmission. The seller reports that some service records are available from the prior owners, and recent service included an oil change completed within the past 1k miles.
Documentation includes lease-payment statements from the original owner. Registration cards from the second owner beginning in 2002 also are included.
The Carfax report shows ownership in California from 1992 through 2017 along with no accidents or other damage. A mileage inconsistency is noted in 1999, although consistent readings are noted both before and after that report.
