Ebay item 7/25
Car has a buy it now price of $10,500 for 27 days, seller dlwoody3, 55k miles
Seller's description:
For Sale is a Good Condition 1993 Jaguar XJS. This car is in running and driving condition although it does need some attention in a few areas so I would consider it a good "project car".
- The good: Runs and drives well. Engine runs smooth and strong. No fluid leaks. New top installed in recent past. Top material is "like new" and includes the boot cover for when the top is open. Windows fully operational. (Recent switch replacement and passenger side regulator assembly. A/C does blow cold but does feel like it could use a top off of Freon charge. Much of the electronics and features work properly. (Those not working are noted in the Project areas section) Known working features: Power windows, power locks, cruise control, power mirrors. Car comes with one key. Remote keyless entry does not work. All gauges work properly.
- Project areas: The convertible top condition is good but there are some issues operationally. In electric mode the rear windows will not drop to facilitate top operation. The top rams are leaking and will need to be replaced. The top motor runs but nothing happens. The top is in manual mode and binds when attempting to open so some attention will need to be given to the top to operate properly again. The front struts and rear shocks need to be replaced. Stereo is not operational. Trip computer operational but is difficult to see. Paint is not perfect but not terrible either. There is one small spot of rust under the rear edge of the top on the passenger side.
In the right hands with some TLC this could be a fun project car.
