Car to be at auciton 8/19
worldwide-auctioneers.com/auctions/car-details/index.php

Auction description:
CHASSIS NO: SAJNV5844EC113856

• 31,113-mile car
• Nice preservation
• Jaguar V-12 power
• Recently serviced

326 cid V-12 engine rated at 273 HP, three-speed automatic transmission, independent front suspension with double wishbones coil springs and anti-roll bar, rear coil springs with anti-roll bar, four-wheel disc brakes; wheelbase: 101.9”

Offered here is a Series II with an interesting story. This 1983 Jaguar XJ-S was taken off the road and stored for two decades resulting in a total of just 31,113 miles driven. This XJ-S is a time capsule that could likely be one of the most original examples in existence. This one is also a one-owner car has been nicely preserved and is now being offered publicly for the first time. Finished in Jaguar’s Sable Black, the sleek and smooth lines of the XJ-S were the work of Jaguar's pioneering aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer, who was one of the first designers in the industry to apply advanced aerodynamic principles to the design of a motorcar. The paint on this XJ-S is believed to be original to the car and still presents very well. Riding on a 101.9-inch wheelbase, the XJ-S carries the modern look of a Grand Touring car in fine fashion. As one would expect, the interior is a true “driver’s environment” with rich red leather and a wood dashboard. The interior is also completely original to the car and carries nice patina while still managing to look tidy and fresh. Jaguar script floor mats are with the car and it also retains its factory radio and sound system. As a Grand Touring car, the design emphasis was up front but rear seat passengers were not overlooked, as seating for two in the rear also featured fine leather and bolstered upholstery. The dashboard layout is most impressive with an array of gauges and controls, all ergonomically designed with the driver in mind. Power for this XJ-S comes from its 326 cubic-inch V-12 rated at 273 horsepower mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The engine compartment is factory stock with all correct hoses and wiring and presents in very clean condition. This XJ-S rides on its correct factory alloy rims with blackwall tires. Also included in this sale are the factory tools, spare tire with cover, and documentation including the owner’s handbook, electrical data chart, service record manual, and several other dealer handbooks. This Jaguar was recently cleaned, detailed, and serviced with a new battery installed and is now ready for the open road.

VIN #: SAJNV5844EC113856

Mileage: 31,450

Transmission: Auto

Condition: Excellent

Exterior: Black

Interior: Mulberry

European Motor Studio is excited to offer this highly original 1 owner 1984 Jaguar XJS V12 Coupe finished in a striking color combination of Black over Mulberry Connolly leather. Rolling off the Coventry Browns Lane factory in November of 1983, this H.E V12 XJS was invoiced to Jaguar Cars INC, and shipped to Fohrman Imports INC in Waukegan IL where it sold new to its one and only owner on December 22, 1983. The car lived under the same ownership until this year where the car then moved to Arizona with the selling dealer. Finished in a classic, striking combination of Black over Mulberry Connolly leather, the paint finish is very presentable with a beautiful deep shine and luster. There are some lacquer cracks on the tops of both front fenders, a small area above the driver door handle and an area underneath the gas door in the driver side fender. A few small stone chips in the front lower portion of the hood and a few stone chips in the lower portion of the driver's door. The glass appears to be all original and crack and chip free, all of the original trim is in very good condition free from any damage (the rear window rubber seal has cracks from dry rot). The completely original Connolly leather interior is in absolutely gorgeous condition showing very minimal wear to the driver seat. The original Jaguar floor mats are in great shape and all of the original carpeting is unstained and undamaged and the headliner has just been replaced. The dash is completely damage and crack free and the original wood is in beautiful condition with one hairline crack on the passenger side air vent. The silky smooth English built 5.3 liter V12 engine has just undergone a full service and tune up including the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, air and fuel filters, a new alternator and battery, a newer steering rack, oil change and oil filter and the front pads and rotors. The AC was just recharged and is ice cold blowing very well on all fan speeds. The engine pulls beautifully with no hesitation or any kind of smoking under start up or acceleration. The transmission is very smooth through all of the gears with no hesitation and the brakes feel excellent with no fade or noises. The suspension is tight and precise with no unusual noises delivering a smooth ride. The original Jaguar Apline radio is still intact and operating as designed including both windows, door locks, mirrors, AC and heat, all exterior and interior lights and all of the gauges are reading correctly. Accompanied with the sale of this lovely XJS Coupe is an extensive service and history file dating back to brand new documenting one single owner and documenting the original mileage. Also accompanying the car is the original purchase agreement and ODO disclosure statement from the original selling dealership dated December 22, 1983. The original owners handbook, service booklet with original dealer stampings and signatures and the original radio book and cassette tape. The original matching spare tire, jack and tool kit are all present. This is a great opportunity to acquire a beautiful, unmolested single owner Jaguar XJS V12 Coupe with great history and documentation in striking and rare colors.

Price: $14,995 negotiable
