For sale is a 1989 Jaguar XJ-S 5.3L V12 convertible. This well-preserved car is in solid condition, and has no driveability issues. Jaguar produced 12,771 XJ-S convertibles between 1987-1991. The XJS is a true grand tourer aimed more at comfort and cruising than spirited driving, and was the longest-running Jaguar model ever, at 20 years.

This three-owner 50,751-mile car has been well maintained by its current owner of 17 years, and shows in original condition. Finished in Glacier White, ISIS Blue interior, chrome lattice wheels shod with Pirelli P4000 tires, and factory air conditioning. The car is powered by the 5.3-liter SOHC V12 engine with aluminum block and heads producing 262 hp at 5,000 rpm, backed by a GM Turbo Hydramatic THM-400 3-speed automatic gearbox, and features electronic fuel injection, Magneti Marelli ignition, 4-wheel power anti-lock disc brakes, anti-lock braking system, power rack and pinion steering, and 4-wheel independent suspension. Factory equipped options include, power convertible top with matching boot, leather-bound steering wheel with adjustable column, power tinted windows, heated glass rear window, power door locks, automatic temperature control, cruise control, trip computer, leather seats and interior trim, heated seats with lumbar support, burl walnut fascia and trim, deep pile carpet, full instrument with tachometer, 4-speaker 80 watt AM/FM cassette player with Dolby and power antenna, carpeted rear luggage area with lockable storage compartment, carpeted lighted trunk, door operated security lights with delayed off, door open entry/warning light, Halogen headlamps and fog lamps, heated power wing mirrors, heated windshield washer, and an alarm code security system. Noted imperfections include a few minor paint chips and dings in the body; the front seats are showing age and wear; the burl walnut trim is showing age and cracking in spots; and the headliner of the soft top has two 1” and one ΒΌ” holes. Recent service includes replacing the high-pressure fuel injection hoses, air filter, valve cover seals, oil pressure sender switch, and performed a brake fluid flush. Original Drivers Handbook, “Total Driving Experience” cassette tape, and AJ8700 Security Radio Code Information manual, along with partial service records included.

This 12-cylinder icon presents an excellent opportunity to acquire an iconic Jaguar that will become increasingly collectible as the years pass on. Jaguar has been renowned in the world as a symbol of prestige and class, as well as having great performance. This is a very well-kept example that is mechanically fit and will offer much enjoyment and owner satisfaction. The car is in the Seattle area, and has a clean Title. Asking price is $11,200.
