A rock solid very low actual miles, 1989 Jaguar XJS V-12 Convertible. The story of this car is as follows:
I bought this car about 11 years ago out of Southern Calif. off of ebay. The information I received was that the car, not to many years after new purchase, developed a small fuel line leak in the injection system, this started a small and brief under hood fire that did not cause significant damage but did meltdown some of the wiring and relays under the hood.
It caused 2 burn marks on the hood but no distortion. What drew me to the car was the styling and design of the XJS convertible, the way these cars drive is amazing but always had a bad reputation for electrical issues.
At the time, I was able to verify the miles as actual as the car had been in the owners garage waiting all those years to be repaired.
Once the car was home, I saw that it was a very solid car, no rust, engine turned over freely, brakes, glass all else looked very good. I was going to pull the V-12 and install a Chevy V-8.
None of this was done and after all these years, it became clear that I am not going to get to it.
This Jaguar is extremely restorable. In the trunk is every conceivable electrical part needed to bring her back to life using the original engine.
It is being sold with a bill of sale only as I have misplaced the original paperwork. I was made aware from ebay that there was an apparent history of salvage in Canada, therefore this car must be sold as such, thanks
