The Eventer No 08 presented here has a very special history. Delivered on April 27, 1983 to Mr. P.J. Griffiths in London, the car returned to Lynx in 1992. After an intensive in-house refreshment, No 08 was sent on a promotion tour and appeared as a photo model not only in various advertisements but also in several editorial reports of major car magazines. At the same time, it served Lynx as a towing vehicle for the transport of their own D-Type racing cars. Afterwards the car found new homes in Germany and Holland, where it was restored extensively in 2007 before entering the VOLANTE collection (Germany). The car resides since 2017 in France.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
