Registered new in January 1983 to Patrick Motors Ltd / Spink of Bournemouth, the Eventer No 04 was owned by their managing director's wife. This XJS was one of the first to promptly arrive at Lynx to be up-graded to "Lynx Eventer". The car was sold to british enthusiast early in 1985. It was advertised in 2011. The mileage (34,000 miles) is genuine and documented. It has been a show car for many years with little on road use. The car was treated to an expensive respray and all the brightwork was replaced and the original wheels refurbished. The car was sold to James Hull and now, the car resides in the Jaguar Heritage Collection.

• 1983 Jaguar XJ-S HE 5.3 Lynx Eventer
One special car in the private collection is the 1983 Jaguar XJ-S HE 5.3 Lynx Eventer. This example is finished in a beautiful Silver Green with Dark Chocolate leather upholstery and the condition of paint indicates professional respray. The car shows 34,674 unwarranted miles and was once an award winner at Salon Privé 2012 Concours. Classic Car Auctions suggest an element of recommissioning is to be expected prior to the car returning to the road.
