Car was at auction in 2013
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-08-31/car/1992-jaguar-xjs-4-0-coup%C3%A ...

Auction description:
Registration J168WVN
Chassis Number SAJJNAED3EK183737
Engine Number 9EPCNA157912
Odometer reading 77,198 miles
Estimate £6,000 - £8,000
Hammer Sold - £5,040

First registered on 16th June 1992, this XJS 4.0 Coupé automatic is finished in Flamenco Red, with doeskin leather trim. Usual Jaguar refinements that are associated with such a marque can be found on this car, anti-lock brakes, electric seats, power steering and air conditioning. The vendor is a Jaguar enthusiast and we are advised the car drives well with no adverse noises. The 3980cc engine starts on the button and runs in a very responsive manner with good oil pressure. Benefitting from the protective rubber strips along the side of the car, this Jaguar is in very good condition taking into account it is over 20 years old. A very desirable and useable modern classic.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
