60,000 MILES, ON EBAY 05/07, SELLER WRITES:
THIS IS A 1984 JAG. THE EBAY MACHINE WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE THE VIN BECAUSE IT'S AN UNUSUAL CAR. ONLY A FEW OF THESE GERMAN CARS ARE IN USA. HAS ORIGINAL CELL PHONE. THE HEADLIGHT BUCKET IS SUPPOSE TO BE IN CAR BUT OWNER TOOK IT OUT AND HAS MISPLACED IT FOR THE MOMENT. THE ENGINE IS A 4 LITRE 6 CYL, NOT A V12. THIS IS A NEW,NOT REBUILT 5 SPEED. I TRIED AND TRIED TO SHOOT TRANSMISSIONS PICS BUT THESE ARE THE BEST I COULD DO. THE TRANSMISSION IS WORTH MORE THAN OPENING BID. THE TRANSMISSION HAS LESS THAN 2000 MILES. THE ORIGINAL OWNER, AN OLDER WOMAN IN L.A. COULDN'T FIND ANYONE TO WORK ON THE TRANS SO SHE HAD IT REPLACED. NEW. THE ENGINE WAS SWAPPED OUT TO A 4 L. IT HAS 60,000 MILES. ABOUT 7 WEEKS AGO A MOUSE CRAWLED IN AND CHEWED ON SOME ENGINE WIRES; YOU CAN SEE IN BOTTOM PHOTO. BUT IT IS A GOOD RUNNING ENGINE. YOU CAN DO SOME 'MINOR' WIRE WORK AND START IT. I AM REPRESENTING THE CURRENT OWNER. HE HAS HEALTH PROBLEMS AND IS SELLING OFF HIS COLLECTION (EXCEPT FOR HIS '62 XKE AND XJ8 AND MOVING TO ALBIQUERQUE. NO RESERVE. YOU PICK IT UP. IN AUBERRY CALIF; 35 MILES N.E. OF FRESNO AND 45 MILES S.W. OF YOSEMITE. STEVE. 559 855 5874. WE HAVE OTHER JAG STUFF FOR BID

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
