This 1990 Jaguar XJ-S V12 coupe is one of a limited number of Classic Collection examples produced, an edition that specified gold-plated badging as well as contrasting seat piping. The car spent time in California and Texas before the selling dealer’s 2010 purchase, and they soon after commissioned a repaint in the factory shade of Diamond Blue Metallic. The coupe has a Magnolia leather interior trimmed with burl wood, and it is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Other features include 15″ wire-spoke wheels, heated front seats, an aftermarket stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Work in July 2026 is said to have included replacing the rear transmission mount, A/C compressor, and left window motor. Now showing 20k miles, this XJ-S V12 Classic Collection coupe is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, the removed factory wheels, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title.

The car left the factory finished in Diamond Blue Metallic (JFN) and was refinished in the same shade circa 2010. The Classic Collection added gold-plated badging and edition-specific emblems, and other exterior details comprise quad headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with 235/60 Pirelli P600 tires, and a spare is located in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by anti-lock brakes with front discs.

The removed factory basketweave wheels and a matching spare are included in the sale.

The heated front seats are upholstered in Magnolia leather with navy blue piping, and burl wood veneers accent the dashboard, center console, shifter, and door panels. Interior equipment includes an aftermarket stereo, a driver-side airbag, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The air-conditioning system compressor and left window motor were reportedly replaced in July 2026. Cracks can be seen in the wood trim.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 1,800 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The rear transmission mount was reportedly replaced in July 2026.

Manufacturer’s literature and service records are included with the car.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
