This black-over-black 1993 Jaguar XJR-S coupe is #22 of 100 examples produced by JaguarSport for the US market. Each car was outfitted with a 6.0-liter V12, three-speed automatic transmission, and suspension modified by TWR in addition to a unique aero kit and a cabin trimmed in Connolly Autolux leather. The car is further equipped with a limited-slip differential, 16″ alloy wheels, and heated power-adjustable front seats. It reportedly remained with the original owner until the seller’s purchase in 2025, and work performed in April 2026 included replacing the spark plugs, belts, ignition rotor, and the distributor cap. This XJR-S coupe now shows 56k miles and is offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Louisiana title in the seller’s name.

JaguarSport was a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing, which also built the XJ220 and the XJR-15, and US production of the XJR-S was limited to a total of 50 coupes and 50 convertibles for the 1993 model year. This example is finished in black with a model-specific aero kit that features color-matched bumper covers, side skirts, and a raised rear spoiler. The window glass has been ceramic-tinted, and the rear bumper cover was repaired in preparation for the sale.

The 16″ alloy wheels have been powder-coated and were mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires in October 2025. The XJR-S features an upgraded suspension utilizing specially-tuned Bilstein shocks and TWR springs. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, and a brake fluid flush was performed in July 2026.

The cabin was outfitted with Charcoal Connolly Autolux leather, Walnut Sapwood trim, and JaguarSport doorsill plates in XJR-S specification, and it also features heated power-adjustable front seats. The headliner was replaced in December 2025, and the air conditioning was converted to R134A refrigerant in April 2026. A cassette stereo and a CD changer in the trunk are installed, but the audio system does not work. The sun visor clips are broken.

A metal plaque produced by jeweler Asprey is affixed to the center console and denotes this example as #22 built for the 1993 model year.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames JaguarSport-branded instrumentation comprised of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 350 of which were added under current ownership.

The 6.0-liter V12 was hand-built by JaguarSport with a modified crankshaft, forged pistons, and a Zytek engine management system and was rated at 318 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Work in 2026 involved flushing the coolant as well as replacing the spark plugs, ignition wires, drive belts, radiator cap, distributor cap, ignition rotor, air conditioning hoses, and heater hoses.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission that features a recalibrated valve body and a unique rear accumulator spring as well limited-slip differential with altered baffle plates.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
