This 1986 Jaguar XJS-C was ordered by the original owner and delivered direct from Jaguar in the UK to Australia. it is in the colour Antelope, is a rear-wheel drive, front-engine 2-door grand tourer coupe. It has a fuel aspired 5.3 Litre 24v V12 petrol engine. It has leather and woodgrain interior, a 3 speed automatic gearbox and has an AM/FM Radio/CD player. The 1985 Bathurst 1000 was one of the most exciting and memorable in the history of The Race, thanks largely to Tom Walkinshaw Racing and its trio of howling V12 Jaguar XJ-S coupes that delivered a popular win for the British team. I have owned the vehicle for 20 years, however, over the last few years I have been experiencing deteriorating ill-health and find I can no longer keep the vehicle maintained to the standard it deserves. I have therefore decided it is time to sell it to a new owner who will appreciate its full worth and potential. It is a stunning looking vehicle and certainly has heads turning wherever I go. It is a rare find in today's market and as a classic and unique vehicle will only increase further in value and prove to be a great investment. The engine starts and sounds strong and is mechanically sound.. I have had a brand new automatic transmission fitted by a Jaguar expert a couple of years ago. There is no road or engine noise inside the vehicle and it is unusually registered as a 2 + 3 seater. The soft top roof can be either a convertible or a T-top to suit the weather conditions. I also have the original logbooks and a work manual. It would be suited to a JAG enthusiast who is mechanically minded and happy to bring it up to its full fabulous grandeur, ie. there is work required on the electrics, some of the upholstery and minor body and paint works. I originally placing the vehicle for sale at $33,500.00 but I am drastically reducing it to the reasonable price of $28,200.00 in order to obtain a sale as soon as possible.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
