The vendor says that this car has had 6 previous owners, but has been family owned since 1998 by the last 4. There is Service History from 1987 to 2001, then the car was put in storage until 2011, when it was recommissioned, MOTd and serviced. It was then put back into storage until 2016 when it was MOTd again and then put back in storage until it was MOTd again in 2017.
It has a few blemishes on the paintwork but is solid underneath. The Targa tops have recently been recovered, and also a new window stitched into the rear hood. The mileometer stopped working in 2011 but car has only covered a maximum of 100 miles since then.

The Bolesworth Castle May 2025 Classic & Performance Car Auction, Sunday, 04th May 2025.
1986 Jaguar XJ-SC
NO RESERVE
Registration – C329 LOE
Chassis No. – SAJJNACW3CC127777
M. O. T. – Exempt
Odometer – 77, 274
The Jaguar XJ-SC is a fixed profile, targa topped version of the venerable GT coupe which was launched in 1983 in both 3. 6-litre straight six and 5. 3-litre V12 iterations. ‘C329 LOE’ is an example of the V12 range topper, hailing from 1986. Offered from a private collection, ‘C329 LOE’ boasts a well below average 8 keepers to date and a decidedly moderate 77, 300 miles to date. Records show, in fact, that ‘C329 LOE’ has covered less than 300 miles since 2021. A schedule of restorative works, both mechanical and aesthetic, were carried out in 2021 resulting in the fie example on offer today. ‘C329 LOE’ comes with its original book pack including its service record consisting of a full 14 stamps. ‘C329 LOE’ comes from the large collection of an individual enthusiast. Just 1598 right hand drive XJ-SCs were built with less than 50 thought to remain on today’s roads. Certainly, one of the rarer XJSs.
‘C329 LOE’ presents in bright Tudor White with dark, removable roof panels and rear landau style hood. The roof panels were re-covered in 2021, and the 15-inch “Starfish” alloy wheels and tyres were fitted new at that time, too. ‘C329 LOE’s’ cabin is trimmed in less common Iris Blue leather and the original steering wheel has refurbished to a high standard. The XJ-SC is a two seater coupe with the area behind the seats given over to a storage locker and space for the roof panels once removed.
This fine example is fitted with the revered Jaguar 5. 3-litre V12 engine, originally designed for use in the cancelled XJ13 Le Mans car. This is mated to a GM TH400 three speed automatic transmission in ‘C329 LOE’ and the power output was originally rated at around 295bhp. The ample torque is probably the key asset of this engine, however, making for a highly desirable continent crosser. ‘C329 LOE’ has clearly been well maintained with a 14-stamp service history. The mechanical work undertaken in 2021 includes the fitting of a refurbished steering rack, a new ECU and exhaust system – all just a few hundred miles ago.
In summary:
One of the rarest XJS model produced with less than 50 thought to remain in use
Offered complete with a full service history and much recent work undertaken
A popular Tudor White over Iris Blue leather livery.
