For Sale February 21, 2016 on carandclassic.co.uk website. Car will be auctioned by Classic Car Auctions on Saturday 19th of March at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. Estimate £ 12,000 - 14,000.

Offered For Sale is a 3.6L 1986 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet manual that has been with the Current Owner for the last 30 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82 / 135. A rare manual XJ-SC with 30 year ownership...In 1983, a new 3.6-litre engine débuted - the Jaguar AJ6 straight-six engine, as well as a new cabriolet version, the XJ-SC. The coupé's rather small rear seats were eliminated making it only a two seat car. This beautifully maintained XJ-SC was bought less than a year after first registration by our vendor in 1987. The soft top, panels and tonneau are all original as is the leather interior. Last year Cheshire Classics refurbished the seats using the original leather and the headlinings. Jaguar Main Dealer serviced up to 40,000 miles the car was then given to a capable garage close to the vendor's home who have looked after the car for the past 20,000 miles. Presented to auction with the original tool kit, manuals and service books, a fresh service and a new MOT. The car will be driven for one last hurrah from the vendor's home, a journey of over 120 miles to the auction. Registration number C 36 JGR, Right Hand Drive, 1986, 3.6L. Only 62,000 original miles.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
