Seen on eBay, February 2007. Ad reads:
"NO RESERVE! You are bidding on a 1977 Jaguar XJS with a 454 V-8 conversion. Professionaly installed and extremely fast. The engine was rebuilt and balanced less than 4,000 miles ago. Turns heads everywhere it goes. Just had a rebuilt Turbo 400 transmission, slip yoke and filler tube with stick installed on January 8th of this year along with a rebuilt and balanced driveshaft. New floormats are ordered and will come with the car. The insulation below the mats has been replaced. The seats have sheepskin covers and need to have new skins if you are going to remove the covers. The dash has a pad but not bad has a few large cracks that could be repaired. The headline has a few places that need to be re-glued. The speedometer and odometer have just in the past few weeks stopped working. Actual mileage is unknown. The rear seat has normal wear and tear. The trunk is in very good condition. Has an AM/FM CD player. BF Goodrich G-Force T/A 225 55 ZR 16 inch tires with chrome spoke wheels. Tires have about 50% tread life left. Air conditioner blows cold. Has approx $10,000 in the engine alone. Body is in good condition and the paint is 7 out of 10. There are some rock chips and dingd but overall very presentable. Very clean engine conversion that looks great. Very nice to drive and has all the power you need. The rebuilt transmission shifts firm but not harsh. As you can see from the photos the floor pans are in good condition with some minor surface rust. Does not seem to run hot at all and the exhaust has an incredible sound. "
