Car has a buy it now price of $6,000 for 6 days, seller andreas-schmieg, 86k miles.

    Seller's description:
Very early pre-HE Jaguar XJ-S, built 11th or 12th September 1975, practically rust-free California car, runs, drives, brakes, decent interior. Very original down to the British Leyland silencers and the year stamps on the wheels. Great project car for restoration.

It does have a number of imperfections: long dent on the rear right wing, paint has lots of imperfections, does not go into reverse, does not fire on all twelve cylinders, indicators and coolant temperature gauge do not work. I am sure it has other electric gremlins and you will find at least one rust spot somewhere. The engine is not matching numbers.

Overall a great very early car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
