Ebay item 1/3/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Jaguar-XJS/223322900223
Current bid: $1,025 no reserve 2 bids 6 days left in auction, seller screamingeagle01, 77k miles.

Seller's description:
1991 Jaguar XJS V12 Coupe. The previous owner allowed this vehicle to sit for an extended period of time and 3 out of the 4 brake calipers are seized so it currently has no brakes. Engine runs strong and transmissions shifts through all gears with vehicle lifted off of the ground (only safe way to test without brakes). The paint on the car is very faded and has the clear coat peeling on almost all of the body. As you can also see there is a pretty sizable dent in the drivers side rear quarter panel. The interior is in amazing shape and really only needs a nice freshen up and carpet shampoo. There is only one small corrosion spot on the passenger side of the trunk lip channel where it meets the quarter panel and is only on the surface so it can be cleaned and fixed with no issue. Car is amazingly rust free. The wood in the interior has typical cracks in the lacquer as you will find on most all XJ6's and XJS's of this time period.

Vehicle has actual 77,460 miles. FULL DISCLOSURE again, this vehicle CAN NOT BE DRIVEN currently as the brakes are inoperable. The engine runs wonderfully and transmission does shift with no issues. The paint is a 3 out of 10 (in my opinion I would want to paint it if I were to keep it) but it can be driven as is if one were to prefer. The interior is a 7 - 8 out of 10. This car is perfect for someone who wants to replace the calipers and drive it as is and enjoy a nice low mileage V12 coupe, as it is honestly too nice of a running car to part it out in my opinion. I am not trying to pass this off as a perfect car, but with some work it can be a very nice enjoyable driver for the right person

Vehicle is currently located in Midlothian, Virginia at a close friends private residence.

Car returns to ebay 2/27/23

www.ebay.com/itm/275713947189

Car has a buy it now price of $3,000 for 4 days, seller zdavidson1976, car now in Henderson, Nevada 75k miles, previously Powhatan, Virginia.

Seller's description:

This 1991 Jaguar XJS is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The car runs and drives. I bought it as a project vehicle and never drove it far. Although it looks nice, runs well and drives i believe it still needs work. I did all the hard stuff but work out of state now and don't have time to continue. This is a great deal for someone who has some basic mechanical skill. Starts up on the first try. I put new rotors, pads and brake lines on the front. Also I had a brand new ABS module installed. Clean title.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
