This 1991 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in white with a beige leather interior, and power is provided by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels, a power-operated convertible top, automatic climate control, and heated seats. The car spent much of its life in Indiana before being brought to Tennessee in 2018 and now shows just 19k miles. Maintenance to the cooling system, air conditioning, and convertible top hydraulics has been completed within the past year. This XJS is now offered by the selling dealer in North Carolina with a clean Carfax report, recent service records, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a clean Tennessee title.
The exterior is finished in Glacier White (NDP) and features chrome door handles, side moldings, and accents along the bumpers. The power-operated black convertible top features a heated glass rear window, and both convertible top hydraulic cylinders were reportedly replaced in April 2020, along with the front hood struts. The seller notes that the trunk lid was repainted, and a patch is present in the convertible top fabric as shown in the gallery.
Factory 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels wear a set of BFGoodrich Radial T/A all-season tires that were reportedly installed in the last 1,500 miles, along with new brake pads. A matching full-sized spare with an older Goodyear Eagle GT tire resides in the trunk.
The cabin is trimmed in Doeskin (AEE) leather with chrome accents and burl wood on the dash and center console. Interior amenities include power-adjustable and heated seats, cruise control, and a trip computer. A six-disc Pioneer CD changer is installed in the trunk.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, along with separate gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. An interface for a radar detector is mounted below the auxiliary gauges, and a keyless alarm system has also been added. The six-digit odometer shows over 19k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 engine was rated from factory at 263 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The water pump and heater valve were replaced in May 2019, and the A/C system was also serviced, which included replacement of the evaporator, condenser, compressor, and pressure switch. The seller reports that an oil change and transmission service were completed approximately 1,500 miles ago.
The original owner’s manual and booklets are included in the sale, in addition to two sets of keys with fobs for the aftermarket alarm system.
The April 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and displays registration history in Indiana and Tennessee from its first entry in November 1994 through its most recent update in December 2019.
