Ebay item 12/23/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Jaguar-XJ/184094043146
Opening bid US $4,995, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $6,495 seller 2020video2020, 41k miles.
Seller's description:
This a 91 V12 Jaguar XJ-S, It has been garage kept from new until about 8 months ago. It has 41,000 original miles. The body is dent / ding free and no rust. The paint is excellent and with some cleaning and wax, it should shine bright! It hasn't been driven in about 4 years. It was parked with a full tank of fuel. I wouldn't start it with the old gas although it may not be bad? A rat visited the car under the hood and chewed on some small wires at the top of the engine and looks easy to repair/reconnect. Because of sitting for four years and the small wire issue, the car is going to sell for a very low price. Fix the wires, drain the fuel and add fresh gas and drive away. The drive-train is fine! You may want to remove the engine and transmission, sell them and add your own V8 power-plant? it's a popular car to modify The low mileage on the engine/transmission should bring a reasonable price ( I would guess $3500.) The wheels on the car now are different than pictured although they are Jaguar XJ-S wheels. The car was owned by a congressman's wife and given to her sister upon passing and she recently passed. I drove this car to the gas station 4 years ago and it drives fine. There are no known accidents and the paint looks fine and original all around, no rust, It's been a Florida car.The interior is nice except the wood around the center shift console has cracking in the clear coat / wood and ideally you may want to replace that piece. The trunk area is clean and rust free. Again, I don't see any rust on this vehicle.
