This 1993 Jaguar XJR-S is #47 of 100 built by JaguarSport for the US market, 50 of which were coupes. JaguarSport was a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing, and each XJR-S was hand-built with a TWR-modified 6.0-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. This example is finished in Signal Red over Cream leather and features a rear decklid spoiler, air conditioning, tinted windows, cruise control, a CD/cassette stereo, wood veneer trim, chrome 16″ Speedline wheels, and power-adjustable heated seats with lumbar adjustment. The car was first registered in South Dakota and spent time in Nebraska, Iowa, and Massachusetts prior to acquisition and importation to Canada by the seller in June 2008. This XJR-S is offered in Canada with manufacturer’s literature, two sets of keys, service records, a Carfax report, and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and features an XJR-S-specific aero kit with a rear wing as well as body-colored sideview mirrors and bumper covers with black impact pads. Additional equipment includes headlight washers, tinted tail lights, chrome trim, and quad exhaust outlets. The antenna was replaced in September 2019.
Chrome 16″ Speedline wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires. The XJR-S features an upgraded suspension utilizing specially-tuned Bilstein shocks and TWR springs.
The cabin features power-adjustable and heated seats with lumbar adjustment trimmed in Cream leather with darker carpets and wood accents on the dashboard, center console, and doors. Features include cruise control, floor mats, an onboard computer, a CD/cassette stereo, automatic climate control, and power windows, seats, and door locks. The air conditioning system was recharged in preparation for the sale.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 42k miles, 4k of which were added during current ownership. The Carfax notes a potential odometer rollback in 2008 which the seller states is the result of being imported to Canada and of mileage being logged in kilometers beginning at that time, as well as a mileage inconsistency in May 2012. Total mileage is unknown.
The 6.0-liter V12 was hand-built by JaguarSport with a modified crankshaft, forged pistons, and a Zytek engine management system that helped it produce 318 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in September 2019 included the replacement of the alternator, battery, spark plugs, and distributor cap in addition to an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
An Asprey placard placed on the center console indicates the car as #47 procured for the 1993 model year.
Manufacturer’s literature, two sets of keys, and service records are included in the sale.
Awards which include a 1st Place trophy from the September 2021 Ontario Jaguar Owners Association Concours d’Elegance accompany the car.
