This 1993 Jaguar XJR-S convertible is #75 of 100 examples built by JaguarSport for the US market, and it was purchased in 1999 by the current owner, who has since added approximately 6,500 of the 37k miles shown. JaguarSport was a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing, and each XJR-S was equipped with a TWR-modified 6.0-liter V12 linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Signal Red over Parchment leather upholstery, the car is equipped with a power-retractable beige soft top, 16″ alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a six-disc CD changer, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This XJR-S convertible is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name
The car is finished in Signal Red and features a power-retractable beige soft top as well as headlight washers, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, a rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna.
Silver 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in Parchment leather. Interior amenities include a six-disc CD changer, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 6,500 of which were added under current ownership.
A metal plaque from the jeweler Asprey is affixed to the center console and denotes this example as #75 produced for the 1993 model year.
The 6.0-liter V12 was hand-built by JaguarSport with a forged-steel crankshaft, forged pistons, and a Zytek engine management system. Output was factory-rated at 318 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
