My 1995 Jaguar XJS was purchased by my father from the original owner in 1998 with 17K miles on it. He gave it to me in 2014 when he stopped driving. So, it’s had 3 owners taking excellent care of it. Garage kept since my father and I have owned it, it’s got the original convertible top and it’s in excellent condition. My father drove it more often than I have, but it’s still amazingly low mileage for a 28-year-old car. For me it’s a Sunday car and I’ve put less than 5K miles on it in 9 years. It’s got 4 new Pirelli tires and a new Alpine Stereo System with 4 speakers. Its AJ16 engine is very much an evolution of the AJ6 after Ford bought Jaguar in the early 1990s. Its key features are stiffer block and head castings (both still of aluminum alloy) with reprofiled camshafts, a new injection system, a separate ignition coil for each cylinder, and a new electronic management system to suit. Inevitably it pumps out fewer pollutants than its predecessor and is also more powerful, taking the car from rest to 60mph in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 147mph, which is as fast as the original V-12 of some 20 years earlier. It’s also far more reliable than the original AJ6 in the XJ-S model. It’s been regularly serviced by the Jaguar dealer in West Palm Beach for the past year.
Asking Price $12,900
