This 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 Celebration Edition convertible shows 40k miles following registration history in California. It was purchased by the seller’s friend from the original owner in November 1998, and it was subsequently acquired by the seller in March 2024. Finished in black over Charcoal leather, the car is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, fog lights, a power-retractable black soft top, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, a six-disc CD changer, cruise control, automatic climate control, and an Alpine head unit with Bluetooth connectivity. This XJS convertible is now offered at no reserve with service records, a spare head unit, a soft top boot, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in black and features a power-retractable black soft top as well as fog lights, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, a soft top boot, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna.

The 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Defender tires, which show date codes from 2021. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The front dampers are said to have been replaced in February 2025.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable front sport seats and two rear bucket seats upholstered in Charcoal leather. Interior amenities include a six-disc CD changer, cruise control, and automatic climate control. An Alpine head unit with Bluetooth connectivity has been installed, and the removed head unit is included in the sale.

The four-spoke leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The ABS alert illuminates intermittently. The six-digit odometer shows 40k miles, approximately 1,700 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. The oil was changed and the air filter was replaced in March 2025

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
