This 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible has remained registered in California through the current owner’s October 2014 purchase, and it has traveled 22k miles. The car is finished in Sapphire over Cream leather and is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, fog lights, a power-retractable blue soft top, 16″ alloy wheels, power-adjustable front sport seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This XJS convertible is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Sapphire and features a power-retractable blue soft top, fog lights, a Jaguar leaper hood ornament, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. The soft top pistons and hydraulic fluid were replaced in September 2023.
The 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The power-adjustable front sport seats and two rear bucket seats are trimmed in Cream leather and joined by wood trim cabin accents. Interior amenities include a cassette stereo, a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer, cruise control, and automatic climate control.
The four-spoke leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,700-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 22k miles, approximately 7k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory-rated at 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
