28,550 MILES, ON EBAY 06/08, SELLER WRITES: An absolutely exceptional and rare example of this original southern California classic 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 6 cylinder 4.0L roadster with only 28,500 original miles! Gorgeous combination of original factory 'Topaz Metallic' exterior paint, beautiful original dark brown factory canvas power soft top with original matching tonneau cover, factory chrome alloy wheels and beautiful doeskin tan leather interior! This particular car must be seen to be truly appreciated! A real head-turner! Purchased and primarily always serviced by original southern California owner at 'Galpin Jaguar' of Van Nuys, California with all original dealer service manuals and handbooks available. Purchased by second southern California owners, friends of the original owner in 7/2005 with only 24K original miles and also serviced by second owners at 'Galpin Jaguar'. Always garaged with absolutely no rust and no accident damage whatsoever with all original parts and paint, obviously owned by only very careful and mature drivers since new - never abused, babied all the way! The original paint is in outstanding condition with no signs of oxidation from the sun (always garaged) and only a very minor imperfection or two noticeable upon very close inspection, in particular there is a very slight parking 'scuff' on the driver side front bumper (see photos below) which has not been retouched due to it's insignificance and also in order to keep the car's complete originality. The original tan leather seats are also in outstanding condition with virtually no signs of any wear, there are no cracks in the dashboard or walnut wood veneers and the door panels and the carpets are also in outstanding condition. The interior is also completely original part from an upgraded after-market detachable CD player and all the options and guages are working as they should including the ice-cold A/C and the car has four new tires. The engine is an extremely strong and smooth 6 cylinder 4.0L with excellent oil pressure and which does not burn or leak oil. The temperature always remains cool and the car drives exactly like a true Jaguar with such low miles should - no shakes or rattles - very smooth and powerful! Overall an incredibly fine example of this classic and increasingly desireable and collectable Jaguar roadster - probably the last classically beautiful design built by Jaguar in their long and famous history of classic lines and the very last year of the XJS, one year before Jaguar's subsequent purchase by Ford - destined to be sure-fire classic car investment for the Jaguar enthusiast or any astute classic car collector! You will certainly look long and hard to find a finer example of this dealer maintained and extremely low mileage southern California always garaged and rust free XJS roadster available anywhere else.
