Ebay item 3/8/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1995-Jaguar-XJS/123680087442
Opening bid $8,000 no bids, 9 days left in auction buy it now price $9,500, seller stratobee, 119k miles.

Seller's description:
Selling my wonderful 4.0L sandy/champagne metallic Jaguar XJS from 1995. I've had this car since 2010 and it was my daily driver up until last year. Everyone said to stay away from Jags, but I can honestly say it's been the most reliable car I've ever owned, bar none. Never let me down in 9 years of ownership. I kept meticulous care of her with frequent service at a specialized Jaguar shop here in LA (Just Jaguar on Woodman Dr in the Valley). Probably spend an easy $15K on her over the years. Last year, I finally fixed the A/C from the ground up, and now it blows ice cold. New tires, new batteries, you name it.

Rims were re-chromed a few years back and I went for a darker gun metal chrome color. Makes the car look absolutely fantastic and unique.

Forgot to take photo of mileage, but is in the 115000mile range.

Just changed oxygen sensor to get rid of Check Engine light and she's freshly smogged, so ready to go. Just drive away. Car drives wonderfully.

The few bad things:

1. Driver's seat has a rip in it and is more worn than passenger seat. Good thing is you can buy the color correct seat leather for just a few hundred bucks and have it re-done very easily. I'd rather not have to mess with it and sell as is.

2. Slight cracked plastic surround around the power window buttons, but I think I might have a replacement in storage somewhere, if I can just get to it.

3. Center emblem (with the Jaguar logo) on left rear wheel is also missing (think someone stole it), but I do have a replacement. It's just missing a fastener clip thingy, so didn't want to glue it down permanently in case a new owner wants it done correctly. Easy to find these both new and used.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
