Ebay item 2/20/11 cgi.ebay.ca/Jaguar-XJS-/160548214533 Car has a buy it now price of $24,500 for 7 days. This perfectly exquisite Sapphire Blue 1996 Jaguar XJS Convertible is actually the only one I have ever seen in this beautiful deep blue metallic color. 1996 was the last year these cars were made and as such represents a consolidation of all the improvements made over the prior years of production. This XJS is equipped with the Sport Wood Steering Wheel as well as the rare rear Spoiler. The top operates quickly and flawlessly at the touch of a button and the AC is cold enough to feel on your face even with the top down. This particular Low Mileage example is a local car from here in Stuart Florida and was serviced nearby at Palm Beach Motorcars/Jaguar Aston Martin. The Sapphire Blue exterior is nicely complimented by the cream leather interior with coffee trim and piping, but the cars amazing appearance only hints at it's performance as the mechanics were every bit as well maintained as the aesthetics. The car goes like a bomb...smooth as silk, wonderful Jaguar Purrr acceleration and effortless road handling. On the highway the needle passes ninety before you think you're doing sixty and on twisty country lanes where the limit is 35, 50 seems like 30. The comfort and luxury of these cars is legendary, but as someone recently said to me, in spite of all that luxury of the leather and wood and the heated power seats, etc. one still feel very much that one is driving a sports car. I have replaced all belts and oil lines as well as plugs and body mounts for a complete tune up and jaguar has also performed a full service, so the car is ready to take its new owner - top down or up - anywhere in these United States in great comfort and speed.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
