This 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible was delivered new to Motor Imports in San Antonio, Texas, and spent time in Kansas and California prior to its acquisition by the selling dealer in March 2022. The car is finished in beige over cream leather and is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a brown convertible top, automatic climate control, an AM/FM cassette stereo, power-adjustable front seats, and 16” alloy wheels. This XJS now shows 32k miles and is offered by the selling dealer with a window sticker, an owner’s manual, a top boot, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kansas title.
The body is finished in Topaz (SDN) equipped with a power-retractable brown soft top with a heated glass rear window. Additional equipment includes chrome-accented bumpers and mirrors as well as dual exhaust outlets. A car phone antenna is mounted to the front windshield, and the removed phone is included in the sale. The lower front fascia is cracked, the underside of the front bumper cover is scratched, and there is a dent near the left door handle.
Silver-finished 16” alloy wheels are mounted with Goodyear Integrity tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The wheels show curb rash and wear on the finish.
The two-plus-two cabin features Cream (NDR) leather upholstery with tan piping and walnut accents on the door panels, dashboard, and console. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, an analog clock, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. A battery shut-off switch is installed in the trunk. Wear on the front seats and left door panel are visible.
The steering wheel is trimmed in leather and wood and frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,700-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 32k miles.
The 4.0-liter inline-six features electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 245 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker shows factory equipment, colors, and a total suggested retail price of $62,150.
