This 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Carnival Red over Cream leather. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, fog lights, a power-retractable beige soft top, 16″ multi-spoke alloy wheels, power-adjustable front sport seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Purchased by the seller in February 2024, this XJS convertible shows 75k miles and is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Rhode Island title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Carnival Red (CFS) and features a power-retractable beige soft top as well as fog lights, a Jaguar leaper hood ornament, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna.

The 16″ multi-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Service in August 2021 included replacing the front brake calipers, rotors, pads, and lines.

The cabin features power-adjustable heated front sport seats and two rear bucket seats upholstered in Cream leather with contrasting piping. Interior amenities include woodgrain veneer trim, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Wear is evident on the front seats.

The four-spoke leather- and wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. The oil was changed in November 2023, and work in 2024 included replacing the battery and throttle cable.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Axle seals were replaced in August 2021.
