73,600 MILES, ON EBAY 05/07, SELLER WRITES:

Beautiful 1994 all original XJS convertible 2+2. This car has been in our family in Colorado from day one. My brother-in-law bought it new and owned it for over 10 years. He is an Airforce pilot and treated this car better then my sister. They have since moved to Italy, I am now the owner.

The carfax is clean - no accidents and it has always been in sunny salt free Colorado. I'm not sure if it has ever seen the rain. This car is very very original. The only thing that I know of that is not original is the top. The new top is about 5 years old and in great shape. It is a factory Robbins top with original glass window. Even the radio is the original Jaguar radio. It works great and controls the 6 disc CD player in the trunk. All original manuals - car, maintenance, radio, security, etc. Original jack and jack cover. Original parade cover and the bag it comes in.

Everything is in working order on the car. Electric convertible roof works flawlessly. Engine runs great, transmission is smooth with the Sport/Normal/1st modes all operational. Tires are in good shape with around 80% tread remaining. As I mentioned, the top and headliner both look nearly new. This car has never been smoked in so no stains on the headliner.

The back seats look new. The passenger seat is in real good condition. The drivers seat does show some wear, mainly on the bolster. The carpets are in good condition for the age.

I hate to see her go as I had a lot of fun driving it around for the last few years - you get a lot of looks and whistles from the gals. However, I have since decided that a RV would be a better third vehicle for our family. Thus, we just got one here on Ebay and are beginning our new life as RVers (not nearly as sexy as XJSers).

For those of you considering an XJS - I strongly suggest a 1994 - 1996. First of all I think they look the best, but most importantly, Ford completely revamped the electronics and wiring for those years. Anything older then 1994 and you will have engine and electronic headaches. I speak from experience. Back when my brother-in-law still owned this one I fell in love with it. Thus, I bought a 1992 XJS and it spent more time at the dealer than in my garage. I swore I would never own another until my brother-in-law approached me with this one. He has never had a problem with it, nor have I since I have owned it.

The 1994 is my favorite of the 94 - 96 years because of the wheels. The 94 has the original honeycomb wheels that the older Jags had. They are very expensive wheels and in 95, Jag went to a much cheaper design.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to e-mail me.

Regards and best of luck bidding.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
