This 1995 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in Sapphire Blue over a Cream leather interior, and power is provided by a 6.0-liter V12 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated blue soft top, power-adjustable heated front seats, air conditioning, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The car was first registered in Texas and spent time in several states before being acquired in September 2020 by the seller, who has since added approximately 2k of the 53k indicated miles. The seller states a differential service was performed and the shocks, brake pads, power steering hoses, lower radiator hose, and rear transmission mount have been replaced in 2021. This XJS V12 is now offered at no reserve with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kansas title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Sapphire Blue with blue and white pinstripes and is equipped with a power-operated blue soft top. Features include front and rear spoilers, color-matched headlight bezels, rear mudflaps, and a “leaper” hood ornament. Scratches are documented in the gallery below along with a dent on the right quarter panel and wear on the badges.

The 16″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 225/60 Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires showing 2007 production dates. The shock absorbers were replaced along with the brake pads and brake hoses in February 2021, and the parking brake mechanism was adjusted in March 2021.

The cabin features seats upholstered in Cream leather with wood trim accenting the matching dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include power-adjustable heated front seats, air conditioning, an AM/FM/cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer, an onboard computer, and cruise control. Four HVAC vacuum check valves were replaced and the steering wheel was realigned in March 2021. Wear is visible on the seating surfaces, left door panel, parking brake handle, and shift knob.

The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a 7k-rpm tachometer and a 160-mph speedometer. The seller states that the parking brake warning light remains illuminated whether the brake is engaged or disengaged. The six-digit mechanical odometer indicates 53k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller.

The 6.0-liter V12 was factory-rated at 301 horsepower and 351 lb-ft of torque. The power steering and lower radiator hoses were replaced and an oil leak was repaired in February 2021, while the smog pump relay was replaced, the throttle position sensor was adjusted, and an oil change was performed in March 2021.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. The differential was serviced and the rear transmission mount was replaced in February 2021. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and displays history in Texas, New Jersey, Virginia, Utah, and Kansas.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
