Description
Up for auction is a 1995 Jaguar XJS Limited Edition convertible in excellent condition. Buy this vehicle, and like its original owner, you will want to treat it as a prized possession. The low mileage represented on this vehicle is accurate and a non-smoker owned vehicle. There appears to be no damage beyond normal wear on this vehicle -- a few small nicks & scratches here and there -- but overall paint and finish are great, and it is obvious that the owner garaged it. When you feel the transmission shift on this vehicle, you would think it was a brand new auto. The engine in this vehicle runs like a top. All electric and power equipment work like new. What else can you say? It's in like new condition. The prior owner took great care of this vehicle's exterior and interior, which interior looks as clean as the day it rolled off the line. The tires on this vehicle look like they are brand new and are actually about a year old. This vehicle was an anniversary limited edition and has custom features such as the unique gold hood ornament (see picture). It was serviced in December and is in mint working condition.

Car returns to ebay 8/25
Opening bid $2,000 no bids, 6 days left in auction seller caprof, 110k miles
Seller's description:
I am selling my loved 1995 XJS Convertible with the 6.0 V12 engine. The registration is good until September 2025. The car passed a California Smog Test at the last registration.
I am the 2nd owner and purchased this car about 25 years-years ago. Since then I driven the car approximately 90,000 of its approximate 107,000 miles. It was last driven around August 2024 when I drove it to Laguna Seca (Monterey) approximately 500 miles round trip. I noticed the transmission (a GM 4L80E) beginning to slip so I parked the car to decide on next steps. I removed the battery (batteries tend to drain over long periods of unuse) and when I went to reinstall the battery, I must have damaged an electrical connection (i.e., fuse, relay, etc) because the engine would crank easily but acted as though it was not getting fuel or electric spark. This is where I have stopped working on the car.
History: About 10 years ago I acquires a set of chrome 1996 XJS rims. I have less than 1000 miles on the tires. Four years ago I decided to repaint the car. While at the shop, the owner's son backed into the passenger door. I purchases a 1992 XJS convertible for parts and use the door to replace my damages door. A clip that attaches the automatic door lock/unlock and is used to make the door handle work properly still needs to be attached. I remove most of the chrome and lights (all included, but some not yet installed) and painted the car the stock red color. I managed to install all of the lights and some of the chrome to make it safe for the trip to Laguna Seca and home.
The front seats were recently re-upholstered using real leather tops.
The paint job (single-stage) could have been better. It at least needs a good buffing and polishing. The photos were taken recently just after washing the car. I am also not particularly happy with the fit of the cloth top. I had purchased it new. I have installed XJS tops before, but struggled to get a good fit near the rear side windows. I struggled with the rear cable securing the soft-top to the body and this may be where adjustments could be better made.
I recently spent about $1,000 fixing an oil leak and charge the air conditioning.
This sale includes a 1992 XJS convertible V12 parts car. The engine in the 1992 passed a California Smog Test just before I purchased it, but this car is not drivable. There is lots of good sheet-metal in addition to the power train.
