Ebay item 2/21/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/12-cylinder-rust-free-coupe-gorgeous-condition-/29053684 ... Opening bid $5,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $8,500. 56k miles. Sellers description: I bought this almost-perfect vehicle in June 2008 in St. Louis and drove it back to Louisville, KY. It ran flawlessly and has done ever since. I drive it to work and back in the nice weather, but it's only a few miles either way. It's always been garage stored and has never seen rain. I've put well under 1,000 miles on it. The engine is extremely strong and smooth and I've had no significant mechanical issues at all -- not even an oil leak! The AC is the only thing that no longer works, although the fan, switches, and vent systems are all fine; the heat operates perfectly. The electronic locking system is a bit iffy, but it usually works (I rarely lock it, though, just to be safe). All the other electrical systems are great, but one of the speakers doesn't work. All the leather is near-perfect; there are no tears and just 50,000-miles-worth of patina / wrinkling. The wood is also perfect, but one of the rims has a good bit of pitting on it. No body damage at all, but the rear deck lid needs a slight adjustment -- a mechanic can't do it; it'll need a body shop, I think. There are a couple of tiny dings and the pin-striping is showing its age. The same tyres are on the car from when I bought it, and they're in good shape. This car is a 9 out of 10 and is mechanically very, very strong. If you're looking for a shiny, beautifully appointed and immaculately kept car with tons of British class and no British unreliability -- this is it!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
