This 1993 Jaguar XJS is an original with updates to the exterior and interior. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.

There are cars, and then there is Jaguar. When it comes to unique, stylish, and one of a kind; The Jaguar XJS is in a class of it's own. Smooth, Silky, and Stylish. These are the three words to describe a drive in an XJS. I can assure you - if this is your first XJS purchase and drive; You will be stimulated and intrigued during every moment of ownership. Up for sale is my 1993 XJS 4.0 Coupe (Series 3) with VERY RARE ASC electric sliding / tilt moonroof. According to my research; The electric sliding moonroof is a very rare option on the XJS. This one is in perfect working order and adds a bit more comfort and "space" to the low and sleek cabin. I purchased this car in 2018 off a fellow in Wisconsin who had owned and cared for it for a few years. He spent time driving the car and doing a few repairs that were necessary. Well used, this car has 128,939 miles. The prior owner lived in Texas; So the car is without any rust whatsoever. The Texas heat did a job on the paint, though much of the clearcoat is gone and the factory "Kingfisher Blue" is faded. This car needs a repaint to make it 100% sexy. The motor and gearbox are excellent. So is the rear end, brakes, suspension, and steering. Gliding down the road at 85MPH, this kitten feels like it is on rails. However, some recent work performed on the car (rebuilt / replaced gearbox) leaves the car slightly out of alignment; So that is something you'll want to take care of. The 24 Valve, 4.0 Liter Inline 6 cylinder designated AJ6 is completely sorted and was performed by a Jaguar mechanic with 40 years of experience. This motor is quite possibly one of the most reliable and smooth inline 6 cylinders Jaguar ever produced. From the factory, the car produced 245 Horsepower and approximately 289 lb/ft of torque. Mated to a 4-speed ZF 4HP24E automatic gearbox with less than 20,000 miles on it - its a smooth operator not meant for 0-60 times, but more for 100MPH for hundreds of miles of freeway. The interior of the car is well used with obvious signs of wear; But not too much to make it ugly. The front seats were re-upholstered 5 years ago and show no signs of wear and are plush, buttery smooth, and supportive. The electric seat controls are fully functional, as are the factory seat heaters and pneumatic lumbar support. In the rear seats you'll find gently used leather and room for two miniature humans. The headliner was replaced just last year, and during that time all stereo speakers were replaced in the front and rear and the vehicle was inspected for any leaks in the moonroof seal. The car is sealed tightly all around and no wind noise can be heard when all windows / roof are closed. The power window switches were replaced in 2020 and the ASC moonroof controls were removed, all contacts cleaned, and re installed. The varnish on the center stack is starting to lift and it would be a good idea to have that re-finished. The center armrest could use some new leather - or used as is. There is plenty of space for storage in the armrest console, or the glove box. The cigarette lighter works as it should and should be re-glued to the wood panel by the new owner. All switches and dials work; Except for the cruise control. The Air Conditioning was converted to R134 and blows cold and comfortable. The heat works, and the aftermarket stereo has bluetooth connectivity. I purchased this car because I have been in love with the XJS since childhood. I personally replaced and repaired many things in this vehicle with my Jaguar mechanic father in law. It barely gets any use at this point as I have turned my attention to some other pursuits. I would like to see this car go to a true Jaguar XJS enthusiast who will take the improvements we have made and push this car even further to perfection. The car is located on Philadelphia, PA Since the car needs an alignment I do not recommend driving it a long distance as it will prematurely wear out the beautiful BF Goodrich tires. I have owned and driven many classic and unique cars in my lifetime; And no other car gets as many looks, comments, and admiration as my XJS. I hope you admire it when it becomes your own. Below is a list of what is accomplished and what the car needs: Repaired in last 5 years: COMPLETED Pulled head and replaced timing chain and timing chain sprocket Replaced head gasket with new Jaguar composite gasket Replaced all head bolts with new torque to yield bolts Compression test: no compression leaks All new transmission lines and transmission cooler, fluids replaced Differential inspected and Limited Slip fluid replaced All new fan and serpentine belts Replaced Air conditioning hoses (high and low pressure) where needed Air conditioner serviced and working properly (R134a conversion) All brakes and suspension inspected, tie rod ends replaced Compression test shows all cylinders between 165-167 PSI New headliner custom cut and installed Four (4) new speakers installed New visor clips installed and all interior lights replaced Brake fluid drained and refilled, brakes bled and work perfectly ABS system works perfectly SRS Airbag service performed (no SRS lights) New power window switches All new sensors and relays on engine. Vaccum hoses replaced and EGR valve and emissions system gone over extensively - runs perfect NEEDS: Paint and minor bodywork to remove small dings Some light interior refreshing (as described above) Four wheel alignment A new owner! The car comes with a clean title and a bill of sale. The rest is up to you!
