    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-Jaguar-XJS-Convertible-V12-No-Reserve-/390298708740
Opening bid $9,000, no reserve, no bids yet 5 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
Beautiful 1990 Jag XJS. This car came from Palm Springs, CA, has never seen snow. Never wrecked, never smoked in, original paint and interior. Always garage kept.

    Some of the good things:

New tires - P235/60-15 BF Goodrich T/A Radials

    Original Owners Manual - complete

Original tool bag containing jack, lug wrench, and other asst. tools - see photo

    Original boot for convertible top

    Original alloy wheels

    A few negatives:

    Top has several wear points

    Windshield wipers do not work

Passenger visor clip is broken - I expect this is a $10 fix

This car weighs 4,710 lbs., and as such is very stable. The V12 engine is well up to the task of propelling this car down the road at great speed.

This 1990 Jaguar XJ-S convertible is finished in Satin Beige Metallic over Barley leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated brown soft top, 15″ basketweave wheels, automatic climate control, heated seats, woven floor mats, an onboard computer, cruise control, and a factory cassette stereo. The car was first registered in California and later spent time in Texas, Louisiana, and Michigan before being acquired by the selling dealer in February 2021. Work since 2020 has reportedly included a rebuild of the transmission, replacement of engine gaskets, servicing of the brakes and air conditioning system, and more as detailed below. This XJ-S shows 58k miles and is now offered at no reserve in Texas with manufacturer’s literature, a shop manual, recent service records, a soft top cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title.

The car is finished in Satin Beige Metallic with a power-operated brown soft top that stows beneath a matching cover. Additional details include fog lights, pinstripes, a trunk-lid-mounted brake light, and a retractable antenna.

Basketweave 15″ alloy wheels with polished lips and Jaguar-logo center caps wear 235/60 Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires. The rear brake pads and calipers were replaced in May 2021 along with the parking brake. An entry on the Carfax report indicates that front brake hoses, control arm bushings, a wheel bearing seal, and the sway bar links and bushings were replaced in 2020. The left-rear wheel is missing its black center trim.

The cabin features two heated and power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in Barley leather. Wood trim accents the dashboard, doors, and center console, and additional appointments include woven floor mats, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, an onboard computer, and a factory cassette stereo.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The Carfax report indicates that the transmission was rebuilt and the following components were also replaced in December 2020:

    heater control valve, heater hoses

valve cover gasket(s), oil pan gasket, water pump gasket

spark plug(s), ignition wires, distributor cap

    pinion seal(s)

    fuel filter

    air intake hose

    air conditioning compressor and receiver/dryer

The power steering fluid was changed in May 2021 when a hose was replaced, and a used coolant crossover pipe was installed in June 2021.

Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with a shop manual and recent service records.
