Seller's description
1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible V12 5.3 liter, has had 3 owners with only 30 K miles. This car is equipped with standard features, an original AM/FM radio with cassette and is beautiful inside and out. Original Jaguar Racing Green paint, Barley leather interior as soft as new, Burl Elm wood dash inserts, and black top. Without a maintenance history when purchased, I felt it necessary to change everything. I changed the brake discs, main brake and handbrake pads, replaced all fluids, filters and gaskets – differential; transmission; engine oil; coolant and brake fluid. The fuel rail rubber appears to have been previously changed.Absolutely rust free with fantastic chrome and rubber. The Carpeting is spotless and the Jaguar Floor mats with Logo are included. Has factory alarm system, original books, tools and jack. This car has an extremely strong motor with excellent oil pressure and no oil leaks. The temperature always remains cool and the car drives exactly as new. Clean Carfax but Note – Carfax shows 2 services at 75,000 miles. The shop has agreed that it was a clerical error and is cleaning up the Carfax. Includes a photo of the dent in the rear bumper from the parking lot accident.Classic Car ID = 50227 and VIN No: SAJNW4849LC168520

This 1990 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in Jaguar Racing Green over Barley leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels, front fog lights, a power-operated black convertible top, power-adjustable seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo. Approximately 1k of the 30k miles shown were added by the seller since acquiring the car in 2015, and a brake service and fluid changes were performed following an extended period of storage. This XJS is now offered with factory literature, model-specific books, a Jaguar Heritage certificate, a toolkit and jack, a Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Jaguar Racing Green and features chrome door handles, side molding, and bumper trim. The power-operated black convertible top features a heated glass rear window and a tan boot cover. The Carfax report shows damage to the right-rear of the vehicle occurring in August 2015, and a dent in the chrome bumper trim.
Factory 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels wear a set of Pirelli P600 tires. A matching full-sized spare resides in the trunk, along with the factory tool kit and jack. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs, and the seller replaced the front and rear pads and rotors in April 2018, while a brake fluid flush was performed recently.
The cabin features Barley leather upholstery with contrasting dark brown carpets. The black dashboard is accented by burl wood, which extends to the center console and door panels. Floor mats embroidered with the Jaguar logo line the footwells, and interior amenities include power-adjustable seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a trip computer. The seller states that the factory radio cassette has been refurbished and that the passenger seat heater does not work.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, as well as gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 30k miles, of which approximately 1k of which were added by the seller.
The 5.3-liter V12 engine was factory rated at 263 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance performed by the seller has reportedly included servicing of the transmission and differential, as well as an oil change and a coolant flush.
The included Jaguar Heritage Production Record Trace Certificate lists production information and dates. The June 2020 Carfax report lists the aforementioned accident and displays registration history in Michigan beginning in 1993 through its most recent entry in August 2019.
