This 1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible shows just 24k miles and was sold new to the owner of a dealership in Utah. The seller’s grandfather acquired the car in 1992 and maintained it as part of a collection of Jaguars. Power is provided by a 5.3L HE V12 paired with an automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Signal Red over Barley leather. It was in use as an occasional driver from 1992 through present, with the last five years being driven sparingly. The car has always been kept in a climate-controlled garage under present ownership. Service work performed this year included a new left front strut, wheel bearing, alternator belt, and radiator hoses. This Jaguar is offered on behalf of the seller’s grandmother with records since 1992, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Utah title.

The exterior is finished in Signal Red with a black convertible top and chrome accents. A dime-sized chip in the clear-coat is described on the left rear quarter panel, and no other paint flaws are noted by the seller. The convertible top is shown raised, stowed, and mid-operation and the rear window is equipped with an electric defroster.

15″ cross-spoke wheels are fitted with older Michelin XGT H4 tires. Stock US-market lighting has been retained, including the front side markers.

The cabin features Barley leather upholstery with matching carpets and burled wood veneers on the dash, center stack, and door panels. The factory airbag steering wheel has been retained, and a Jaguar-branded cassette stereo is installed.

Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer with a 6,500 rpm redline, and barrel-style auxiliary gauges. 24,244 miles are shown on the 6-digit mechanical odometer.

The 5.3-liter V12 is backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and was factory-rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. Service records are said to be complete from the owner’s acquisition in 1992 until the car was moved to the owner’s winter home in 2008. The most recent service included a new left front strut, wheel bearing, alternator belt, and radiator hoses fitted after the car was taken out of storage in 2018.

The Carfax report shows history in Utah since late 1991 at 10k miles. The car resided in Salt Lake City for its first ten years, and in Southern Utah thereafter. No accidents or other issues are noted.
