This 1988 Jaguar XJS was transformed into a convertible by Hess & Eisenhardt of Cincinnati, Ohio in February 1988, and it reportedly has been owned by the same family since new. Now showing 48k miles, the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Satin Beige over Barley leather. Features include a power-operated beige convertible top, chrome-accented wheel arches and trim, power-adjustable leather seats, wood trim, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and power windows and locks. This XJS is now offered by the selling dealer on behalf of its owner at no reserve with manufacturer’s manuals in a Jaguar booklet, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the owner’s name.
The exterior is finished in Satin Beige (AGA) with a power-operated beige convertible top. Features include chrome-accented wheel arches and trim, fog lights, a V12 grille badge, as well as Hess & Eisenhardt badges behind both front wheels. Factory 15″ polished cross-spoke wheels are wrapped in mismatched Pirelli and Bridgestone tires.
The interior is finished in Barley leather (AFW) and includes power-adjustable seats as well as wood trim on the dashboard, door panels, and center stack. Equipment includes cruise control, a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, an onboard computer, air conditioning, and power windows and locks.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a wood-trimmed instrument cluster with a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just under 48k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Factory-rated output was 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The fuel filters and fuel pump were replaced in May 2020 by Highline European of Scottsdale, Arizona.
The June 2020 Carfax report is free of accidents and other issues, and it chronicles service, registration, and emissions testing in California and Arizona from 1990 through 2007.
