65,000 miles

1983 Jaguar XJS V-12 with only 65,000 original miles. Good condition overall. Does need some work. Engine ran great until the left side converter plugged up. It does still run, although it does need the exaust repaired. No noise from the engine. Great oil pressure. Just put on a new fuel pump. There is a little rust, but is a very solid vehicle. Transmission shifts good and solid. There is a power steering leak, I believe in the hose, between the pump and rack. I bought the car to build a race car but can't see doing that to such a original classic. This car is very restorable with a little time, effort and of course money (not a whole lot). Paint is faded and could use a fresh coat. Interior is all leather and there are some seam tears. Car is sold as is and there is no warranty. I can deliver the car, (depending on the distance) for a fee. Feel free to ask any questions. Please do not bid on this car if you are not going to pay for it.

Opening bid $1,169, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in New Haven, Michigan. 65k miles.
Sellers description:
Up for auction as a whole parts car is my 1983 Jaguar XJS. If you need a pile of good XJS parts, this is the car for you. If it does not sell, it will eventually reappear here as parts; I just have no time for it now. It became non roadworthy when a rear radius arm shot through the super rusty frame. The only things currently holding the differential on are the bolts at the top, the driveshaft itself, and gravity. The car comes exactly as shown in the photos, less the battery. We can use the battery to drive the car up onto your trailer. Yes, it will have to be trailered, but it can be lot driven, and does start (with some difficulty), shift into gear, and lot drive. You can't see from the photos, that the vast majority of exhaust is missing, although the manifolds are in place. It's loud. It does have one super flat tire, and the rest hold air, but suck. The front brakes, as well as many suspension components were replaced a few years ago, with less than 100 miles on them. I have over a thousand in new parts during my ownership, and that's more than a dollar per mile I drove. I'm sure the engine could use a tune up, but it does have low miles.
