Ebay item 3/22/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-XJS-LYNX-1982-Jaguar-XJS-Convertible-V-12-This-is-a- ...
Current bid $1,000 reserve not met, 2 bids 9 days left in auction. 62k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a LYNX # 58. It stared life as a Black coupe. Then it was sent back to England in 1985 and converted to a convertible and stripped down and resprayed Red. All of of this history is in my records. The top has a built in roll bar, very sturdy. Goes up and down, all electric, including latching to the front wind shield. The rear side windows roll down, unlike the Coupe. all windows are electric of course. It needs a few minor things, such as, a pair of new hood pistons, that hold open the hood. Somebody stole the radio. Could be more, but can,t think of any. If I do I'll add them in later.

This has been my favorite car. I have had many cars before and during the last 23 years. Now I must part with it. Someone will get a great car. Purchased in 1990 and maintained to the max. What ever it needed, and many times before it needed it. Radiator, water pump, new air conditioner, all belts and hoses several times. New top a few years ago, $1500. I have all of the records. In 2012 I had all ignition parts replaced, there a long list. plus complete service and smog test, passed.

If you get a Carfax, it will tell you there are no Accidents. This car was smoged every 2 years since 1990 and the mileage is correct.

This car will not start for me. It turns over just fine, but that's it. I didn't start it for about a year due to medical problems. My loss will be your gain. I am not selling because it won't start. I have to sell it due to my advanced age.

Opening bid US $4,500 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $11,995. Car now said to be in Woodland Hills, California.

Sellers description:
Rare Lynx Spyder 4-seater Jaguar XJ-S convertible for sale. 1982 V12 HE auto, US spec. , very attractive and tasteful in red with black electrically operated power roof. The original Lynx ID plate in the glove box shows that this is number 58 of 72 that Lynx produced; most were exported to the US & Australia, and very few remain.

This vehicle has been lovingly cared after and there are plenty of receipts that reflect that fact. You are welcome to visit

This Jaguar rides on Michelin 215 70R/15 tires with plenty of tread left wrapped around gorgeous honeycomb aluminum wheels. The European headlights look new and all the lenses and marker lights on the car are free of any scratches or cracks. The leather wrapped steering wheel is in spectacular condition and all the wood trim inside is in great shape considering this is a 32 year old automobile. The cloth top and back window shows no signs of aging at all.
This car with its V12 engine purrs at idle and pounces quickly upon acceleration. Quiet with no rattles at all.

Opening bid US $5,000 reserve not met no bids 4 days left in auction, buy it now price $9,950, seller dandanno24, car now said to be in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 62k miles.

Sellers description:
Very rare, well preserved Jaguar Convertible.
Conversion done by Lynx Motors, Great Britain.
There is a plate pictured in the glove box marking this vehicle as number 55 of 70.
This has been a real pleasure to own and drive. She starts right up every time and runs incredibly well and without issue, ever.
Engine is strong, quiet and in perfect running order, as is the transmission.
All 4 power windows operate well, the radio is an upgrade and even the power antenna works.
The A/C also blows cold and operates on all settings properly.
Tires are new with less than 100 miles on them and she drives straight.
The bright red paint shows very well for a respray and the interior is super clean and looks to have been lightly refreshed, yet original leather hides throughout.
The top operates up and down manually as does the latching. Parts were no longer available to repair the hydraulics for power top so they were removed and will go with the car.
Everything about this beautiful rare conversion is really on point.
Fun to drive, reliable and quite the head turner.
I have had the car 2 years and put only about 150 miles on her so it is time for me to sell.
My collection has just gotten to big for me to enjoy.
Super clean and really beautifully rare, this fun convertible is ready to be enjoyed!
