This is an amazing and simply gorgeous condition Jaguar XJS sports coupe. Finished in Black with Dove grey leather interior there is virtually nothing on this example that is not simply immaculate. The best way to describe this Jaguar is to pretend you are in, say, 1987 and you are buying a well-kept certified 1984 Jaguar from the authorised dealer. This is a *2 meticulous owner car with some *29,000 miles, residing in the mid-west its whole life but not driven in inclement weather - it is without a spec of rust anywhere.

Everything works completely as it should and is in immaculate presentation. The second and recent owner was incredibly meticulous having a "no bars hold" attitude to maintenance, service and repair. We have history of work done to the car over recent years totalling some $25,000 and this was not because the car had issues, but the owner was that fussy! Mechanically the car is in fantastic shape with no outstanding issues. Just a quick look under the hood is testament to how well this XJS has been maintained.

Every single feature and function works as it should; windows, door locks, antenna, stereo, A/C, heater, interior and exterior lights, horn (both high and low).... the complete list. An after market, high quality stereo system has been fitted with top quality speakers, all correctly installed in their factory location to maintain complete discretion.

Body and paint is excellent. Very shiny and consistent with hardly a minor chip anywhere. There is no rust in the typical areas namely; the bottom of the front and rear windows, lower fenders, rockers and wheel arches. Unlike many Jaguars of the era, this one is free of the ugly side mouldings installed by dealers when new. Mounted are brand new (and expensive) Michelin tyres in their correct 215/70-15 size. The factory correct Jaguar rims are in excellent shape. The spare is the factory original Pirelli P5 which we belive has never been mounted on the car.

The interior is absolutely a stunning aspect of the car with virtually no wear. The factory carpets are excellent and the headliner is in perfect condition ~ without any of the typical "droop" usually seen on this model. The leather is stunning, the dash like a new one and the mahogany wood in excellent condition with no cracks or damage (note: a small hairline fracture in the lacquer adjacent to the hazard light switch). A faux wood ski-slope has been added which looks very much "in-place" but can easily be swapped out to the original if so preferred. Mindful of the incredible condition of the interior, have a close look at all the buttons and switch gear; they are all in excellent condition. Even the factory leather steering wheel is like a 3 year old example. All simply amazing. She is also a non-smoker car so clean and sweet.

Not much more can be said but to invite you to take a close look at this great Jaguar sports coupe. Truly an immaculate example, I am sure you will agree. Surely amongst one of the best examples available for sale today. This XJS is so nice, you could drive it as-is to your next Jaguar meet and be in for a very good chance of winning 1st prize in its category ~ she is simply THAT good.

This 1984 Jaguar XJ-S previously spent time in Minnesota and Illinois before being acquired by the seller in 2019, and it now shows 30k miles. The car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in black over gray leather. Features include later-model 18″ wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Bluetooth-capable Alpine CD stereo with auxiliary inputs. This XJ-S is now offered at no reserve in North Carolina with manufacturer’s literature, service records, the removed stock wheels, a clean Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in black and features power-adjustable mirrors with chrome caps, sloping C-pillar buttresses, a replacement power-operated antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The factory-equipped fog lights have been removed.

Silver 18” alloy wheels were sourced from a later-model Jaguar under current ownership and are wrapped in 225/80 Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires fitted in 2019 according to the seller.

The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in gray leather accompanied by color-coordinated door panels, carpeting, and interior trim. Equipment includes automatic climate control, power windows, a trip computer, cruise control, a Bluetooth-capable Alpine CD stereo with auxiliary inputs, and aftermarket speakers.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a telescoping steering column and frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 30k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 291 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque when new. The fuel system was debugged and refurbished between 2015 and 2016, and the ignition amplifier, distributor pick-up, and coil were replaced in 2016. Work under current ownership is said to have included an oil change, a recharge of the air conditioning refrigerant, cleaning of the radiator, and replacement of the radiator hoses.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. There is corrosion on portions of the exhaust system and underbody.

The car is supplied with the removed 15″ stock wheels wearing Michelin tires.

Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with service records dating back to 2015.
