    Ebay item 8/22/15
    www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-HE-/161799460015
    Current bid $1,225.00
Reserve not met 10 bids 4 days left in auction, buy it now price $3,000. 50k miles.

    Sellers description:
Cool car from the 80's. Has a great big hood and V12 engine. Was bought, put in the garage, and then has just sat there for about 20 years. It's in great shape, but not running. It ran just fine way back when, it just hasn't been started in so long. I think a simple tune up will have it running great.

Will need to be trailered or towed. Can have a mechanic come look at it at buyer's cost, but obviously there is some work that will need to be done to get it back on the road. Shouldn't be much.

    Car returns to ebay 11/14/15

Car has a buy it now price of $4,200 for 5 days. Seller gumdrop_girl, car now said to be in Lake Elsinore, California.

    Sellers description:
1984 Jaguar XJS HE V12. It was put in the garage in 1994 after only 50k miles was put on the car. We took it out of the garage, put new tires, new battery, flushed the fuel system and put on a new water pump and flushed the cooling system. The car runs very nice. Idle is smooth, the car dives very nice and is very quite. The only things that will need to be done, is the headliner is coming down and last night the heater valve started leaking a little bit. The interior is amazing, the paint is very nice and the chrome is perfect.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
