If you are looking for an affordable V-12 car, the Jaguar XJS V12 is probably the best car you can buy for the money. Great performance with silk smooth engine and unique look. I am a car collector with 13 cars including a couple of RR's and I have owned a 1990 XJS before...I have learned from experience that not all "Cats" are created equal and I have chosen to buy this low mileage 1985 Jaguar because of its unique attributes. Health issues and storage space problems are forcing me to sell most of my cars.

First of all, this is a very rare metallic green color on XJS's, only offered for two years I believe in this shade, which is quite different and much nicer than the regular non metallic pale British Racing Green. Then you have the perfect contrasting light beige interior with light wood finish in perfect condition not all cracked like most Jags and finally the very rare chrome wheels, which in this first style look much better than the later lace ones used from 1989 on. I also prefer the 1985, because the steering wheel with the beautiful cat emblem is much nicer than the later boring square air bag ones with no color emblem that also cost a fortune to replace if you ever happen to have a minor accident that cause it to deploy. Mechanically, I also prefer the 1985 vs. the 1990, because it is simpler and less expensive to service and maintain it, with no ABS, no air bags and no Magnetti Marelli distributor which a simple rotor failure may cause fuel to go to your catalitic converter and melt it or even burn the entire car.

The car has been well-maintained and garaged all of its life with no rust, almost perfect inside and out. It also has unique special trim, including a beautiful gold hood emblem, gold stripes that contrast well with the green, chrome fender air extractors and fender chrome Jaguar emblems.
