Ebay item 3/27/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-Red-v12-/271818925434
Opening bid US $5,000 no reserve, no bids 5 days left in auction buy it now price $7,000. 66k miles.

Sellers description:
Condition:
This vehicle was purchased three years ago with the intent of making is a daily summer driver. Nearly all the mechanical work to achieve that has been done to the extent that I am driving it to work and have taken it on several 6 hour road trips with no issues. At this point though my "life situation" has changed making a red, two door, v12, sports car a poor fit.
Recent work:
Tires Replaced roughly 3k miles ago Some extra wear on inside of the fronts due to suspension issue that has been resolved.
Suspension Upper and lower ball joints (all) replaced
Front sway bar remounted and bushings replaced
Front end alignment in 2015
Brakes Front Pads and rotors replaced. Rears checked ok 3k miles ago. Brake system flush/fill
Cooling Both thermostats replaced Converted to electric main fan (2300 CFM) Coolant system flush/fill
Ignition system New cap and rotor Replaced main computer Replaced plugs and wires (ALL plugs replaced. Several are often not due to the difficulty/cost) New main Coil
Replaced idle cotroller/sensor

Known issues
Interior: Needs new headliner and the stitching on the drivers seat leather needs to be patched in one place. Cruise control and in dash "computer" do not work but are unnecessary to drive the car. Otherwise the interior is in good condition. Climate control and drivers gage cluster work.

Exterior: A few small blemishes with one the size of a quarter. The majority of the car's paint has been professionally buffed out by a body shop which remove the 30 years of normal wear you'll find on an XJS normally and brought back much of the the original brightness. Still has the original fog lamp covers and the rear license plate light covers need to be replaced.

Mechanical: Small exhaust leak at one joint and the transmission seal needs to be replaced at some point--it is "seeping" very slowly but has not progressed in the last two years. Wipers work but do not "park."

History: Purchased the vehicle roughly three years ago from a used car lot that had little history on the vehicle. It is surprisingly clean for its' age and I have kept it off the road in the Michigan winters.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
