This 1988 Jaguar XJ-S was converted from a coupe into a convertible by Ohio-based coachbuilder Hess & Eisenhardt when new. Finished in Satin Beige over Barley leather upholstery, it is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a beige soft top, 15″ wire-spoke alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo. The car has been registered in New York since new and now shows 13k miles. This XJ-S V12 is offered by the selling dealer with a window sticker, service records, a car cover, and a clean New York title.

Jaguar commissioned Hess & Eisenhardt to convert XJ-S V12 coupes into convertibles between 1986 and 1988. This example is finished in Satin Beige Metallic (AGA) with a beige soft top. Additional features include quad headlights, fog lights, chrome mirror caps and trim, a power antenna, dual exhaust outlets, and Hess & Eisenhardt front fender badges.

Chrome 15″ wire-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with older 215/70 Pirelli P5 Cinturato tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable seats upholstered in Barley leather (AFW) along with burl wood veneer accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes a cassette stereo, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, and automatic climate control.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 13k miles.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The battery was reportedly replaced in May 2023.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.

The window sticker lists factory colors and equipment, initial delivery to Jaguar Cleveland of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and a total amount of $44,950.
