Ebay item 8/10/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1989-Jaguar-XJS-/253086757638
Opening bid US $20,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $25,000, seller longislandbobbi, 35k miles.
Sellers description:
An immaculate, garage kept XJ-S V12 with under 36K miles. I am the second owner and purchased it from a family friend about two years ago after he passed away. As an under-driven automobile, I have spared no expense to bring this car to top running condition. Original paint--fantastic glacier white. A very small ding or two on the car, that's about it. Deep luster to the beautiful glacier white paint. Chrome is shiny like new condition as are the rubber and plastic pieces around the bumpers. A pair of small driving lights has been added to the front bumper. New shocks. Original convertible top--like new! I recently bought a Haartz fabric convertible top convertible boot cover and it looks fantastic. Original lattice white color coded chromed rims (a little chrome flaking on the rims), Original special order Nardi steering wheel. I have invested over $12,000 to get this car as close to perfect as possible! New ignition system, new air conditioning system, gas tank has been pulled, cleaned and resealed. Window motors fixed, all diagnostic lights working perfectly. Engine is smooth as silk! Interior headliner is brand new! Leather seats are in excellent original condition with a small bit of front drivers seat work that I had done at Automat Customizing on Long Island. They also made me new custom floor mats with the big cat! Dash is perfect. All gauges work just fine. Original trunk carpeting ans spare excellent! All work is under warranty from the great father and son Jaguar experts in Rockville Center on Long Island NY. I spent over $2000 and had a JVC receiver installed with a 1200 watt amplifier and massive subwoofer enclosure custom made for the luggage box. I have the original stereo if you would like it. Also have a nice alarm setup--Viper Responder 2-Way security system with dual zone proximity sensors. You would be hard pressed to find such an impressive '89 convertible with such low mileage. All the bells and whistles are there. Just had the oil changed and a new inspection in August. Reliable and ready to cruise.

Seller's description:
A pristine example of the XJ-S V12 Convertible Jaguar.I dont think there are many Jaguar XJ-S convertibles with such low mileage. The car rides smooth as silk. I had a Jaguar shop on Long Island work on the car for a month back in 2016 to make sure it was in great running condition. I purchased this car from the family of deceased friend who passed away in 2014. The car is always been garaged and was rarely driven in later years. After purchasing the car I spent many thousands of dollars replacing the exhaust system, getting the gas tank sealed, putting in a new stereo, getting a new headliner, custom floor mats, various gaskets and seals and sensors were replaced. I had a new air conditioning system installed as well. The car is near immaculate. It has a lovely deep and rich glacier white paint scheme and the leather interior is fabulous. The chrome bumpers on the are in like-new condition. this car won 1st place in the driven class of the Jaguar owners Club of Long Island last year at the Vanderbuilt Mansion Jaguar show. The car resides in a garage at a relative's house in Boston as I do not need a convertible 2 seater in Midtown Manhattan where I live. it sits there waiting the next driver. it is a unbelievable ride, and you will feel like a million dollars in it. My only wish is that I didn't have to sell it but I don't get up to Boston much to drive it.

1989 Jaguar XJS, Delightful 2nd owner car purchased in 2014. Under 40K miles! No expense spared to bring this underdriven Jag into top mechanical condition. Our family friend owned the car since new on Long Island. As he aged, he drove the car less and less. Always garaged, orignal gorgeous glacier white paint and mint original convertible top. Pristine chrome and leather all around. No rust whatsoever. Nardi wooden steering wheel, optional color coded white lattice rims. Over $12,000 spent replacing various systems. Since 2014, I have made sure this car had got the best care by Jaguar specialists in New York and Boston. This includes a new AC compressor and conversion kit, water pump, fuel tank pulled, cleaned and sealed, new front and rear shocks, hood and trunk hydraulics, transmission mounts, intake and manifold gaskets, new starter, cap and rotor, exhaust work, convertible top headliner replacement, side seat bolster leatherwork, ski slope replacement (with cupholders not ashtrays}, new hartz fabric top cover(for when top is down), Stereo system with satellite antenna and 1200W amp and custom subwoofer enclosure in rear storage compartment. The list goes on.
Some chrome on the wheels is flaking, cruise contol needs a new module and a tiny ding on the hood and rear quarter panel. Tires are in great shape but on the old side.
Won best in class at the 2017 Long Island Jaguar Owners Automobile Club at the Vanderbuilt Mansion.
I live in Manhattan and do not need this car in midtown. The car is currently kept garaged in Newton MA with family. I hate to sell it, but it is time. Its a wonderous ride, silent and smooth. With all of this maintenance, all you have to do is turn the key and ride on into the sunset. Price is firm.
Price: $13,000 firm
